Celebrating International Women’s Day 2022

Celebrating International Women's Day

We are celebrating International Women’s Day again!

Join us for our 6th annual International Women’s Day celebration. Every year on March, 8th we do a fun event where guests can make a photo pledge for parity at any Kasa location. In exchange, we offer a free samosa or chai.

Celebrate International Women’s Day

The theme of this year is #BreaktheBias. Celebrating women’s day is about celebrating women first and foremost but it is also a fight for equality and making the world a little more diverse and inclusive for all genders. The mission of IWD is to inspire everyone to take individual accountability for their own thoughts and actions and encourage positive change or action in their communities.

We hope to see you on March, 8th!

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a globally recognized organization committed to advancing gender equality and acknowledging the accomplishments of women on a worldwide scale. Established more than a century ago, IWD has transformed into a formidable force championing women’s rights across various domains, from advocating for gender parity to ensuring access to education and promoting workplace equality. Through its diverse array of campaigns, events, and initiatives, IWD serves as a catalyst for raising awareness and inspiring tangible action. It encourages individuals and communities to confront ingrained biases, elevate the status of women, and work towards building a society that values inclusivity and fairness for all genders. By fostering dialogue, driving change, and amplifying the voices of women globally, IWD plays a pivotal role in advancing the cause of gender equality and creating a more just and equitable world for future generations.

#BreaktheBias refers to the collective effort to challenge and dismantle the stereotypes, prejudices, and discriminatory attitudes that perpetuate gender inequality and limit opportunities for individuals based on their gender. This initiative aims to disrupt the ingrained biases present in society that often marginalize and disadvantage certain genders, particularly women and marginalized gender identities. Breaking the bias involves acknowledging and confronting the unconscious biases that shape our perceptions and behaviors, advocating for inclusive policies and practices, and actively promoting diversity and equality in all aspects of life. It requires fostering a culture of respect, equity, and empowerment, where individuals are valued for their unique talents and contributions regardless of their gender identity or expression. By challenging bias and promoting inclusivity, #BreaktheBias seeks to create a more equitable and just society where everyone can thrive and fulfill their potential free from discrimination and prejudice.
